Yeah, I'm sick of this furry drama shit too.
I mean, every damn time there's some big change, they start screaming bloody murder over it and that they will leave the website, but then they come back a few weeks or maybe days later after that.

Everytime I see something like it, I think "must be Tuesday" or something.

Yeah.
And there's been a bit of an incident now involving a user by the name of  superbabsy123.
Her entire gallery got wiped on the false claims that the art in her gallery wasn't hers, that it was traced, stolen or plagiarized and other things.
Needless to say, she got very devastated as the admins wiped everything and not just the supposedly stolen artwork.

From what I know, I'm fairly certain that what happened was that she used photos in the backgrounds of most of the art - photos that she either didn't take or have license to use - which is technically against the site policies. But no one cared/enforced it til now.

Indeed it is.
Atleast one user was able to find that they actually have backups of the files and he had linked it in her submission "ONCE MORE I RETURNED TO PUNISH", so I think she should be able to recover them.
But still, I don't feel safe after this incident, what if the FA admins take it even further to abuse their powers and rights?

I'm not freaking out over IMVU either. Like at all.

I've got my own reasons to have IMVU honestly, but they're older and unrelated to the current drama. Not much I can think of worth leaving furaffinity over however, though I imagine someone will start demanding it sooner or later that we jump ship to weasyl, or some other new furry site.

More or less each time I read any of this drama I can't help but feel it's like someone hired some PR campaign to dig some half truths, or even create them about the site as a way to get users to jump ship to weasyl or whatever other sites furaffinity users start migrating to en masse.

More or less I was able to bury my head of the furry drama 'till the first Weasyl migration. It and any that come after are sadly going to attempt to be gamergate in that the end users who are interested in the story won't know the whole truth, will all treat half truths and straight lies as fact, and more or less all be wrong, but force more users off the site to weasyl, or whatever site those who find something to rebel against weasyl over something choose next.

I dunno, could be. I just think people here are too fickle. They freak out over anything.

I didn't even know about the IMVU thing until people started griping about it.

I saw a post from a friend, and snoped around. Just people freaking out that the site is taken over by green alien overlords that hates porn.

According to Fender's (I think) journal, IMVU and FA will start a partnership for stuffs, adversiment, events, servers, etc.
Some people already freaked out, claiming that IMVU bought FA, and will start forbiding porn or steal user's artwork, or whetever it is FA's masses freak about everytime something new shows up.
And then there's the "let's move to wesyl, dlc, whatever" journals popping everywhere.
