I AM BK // ADOPT RULE WHEN RESELLING PLS READ
10 years ago
It's rough out here for us artists... HELLO first of all
yes I am back THIS IS A LATE JOURNAL THO...
I've been back from London for a few days now 8'3c
Long story short, it was fun! lots of walking and
traveling by bus, but it was nice mostly when you sat
at the top and were in front row to see the view!
I was going to link to some photos but..NAHH not
feeling it.
AS FOR THE RULE CHANGE
> You may only resell an adopt for what you've first purchased it for. You may tack on the price for commissions you've bought.
(ex: Say you've bought the adopt for $50 and commissioned someone else for a FB for $45. Making it $95 if you're going to resell them.)
This does NOT count for GIFT ART or YOUR OWN ART of said adopt anymore.
I've seen people bump up their own art prices just for the sole purpose of profiting
from reselling them with additional art they've made so.. yEAH.
Not letting this happen anymore. o/
That is all, Thank you.
FA+

and if im still unsure, i'll just go to the commissioner themselves for a double check.
Though, you could either tell the person who bought it that they pretty much bought it for more than it was worth, and hopefully file a refund to get their money back
or simply ban the person from purchasing anything else from you.
As for the adoooopts... yeah, I don't even know what to think about that. I find it appalling that anyone actually thought that was "okay" in some way. You don't commission yourself, so don't expect someone else to pay you for the art you did...yanno, for yourself...just what.. |D
and haha, you have a point there. I didnt really mind at first, BUTTT if they're going to exploit it im just not letting that pass anymore
but like I want to stay affordable? and affordable brings in more customers anyway?
ahhh..
anyway!! I hope London was super fun for you
I heard it has a cat cafe now!
I've seen a fair share myself and, honestly, it aggravates me. Someone else could have TRULY wanted that design and actually use it, love it, give it a nice home.
I dont think your idea of selling adopts is wrong but actually quite thoughtful! but please never undercharge yourself!! q _ q)/
Thank you!!
O GODS I wish I knew sooner so that I could see the cat cafe qq!
I do think it's an impulse buy thing, and that's why I reckon higher prices tend to help a little? I may be wrong ;;
ahh thank you for your concern! right now I really prioritise getting together a strong rp community for my Sugarbits, so I'm not too fussed about making lots of money just yet
GOMENS INTO INFINITY I think their waiting list is a few months long, though ahh o|-<
I'm wanting to book in but it's looking like more of them will be opening in places like Birmingham which is much closer to me!
Did you ever consider talking to them about it D:
I'd be nervous too
And yes, Im well aware u _ u
I've always wanted to go to London and the double decker sounds fun
i realize that this might hinder your own sales, but perhaps not, considering how super popular your designs are...but have you ever thought about creating a "no resale" clause in your terms? or maybe only under VERY strict regulations, ie they have to discuss it with you first?
Glad you had a fun trip! <3
