That...was freaking awesome O.O Expected epic win, was not disappoint! Animation seemed to take about equally from Heavy Metal and Akira. c: Very cool, not often you see things from the Empire's viewpoint nor that they win in the end...very well done considering no dialogue. I really liked that the TIE squadron had individual personalities too, their story could make a cool counterpoint to the Rogue Squadron comics someday (and the bomber pilot chick was pretty hot too ^^

Agreed! Reminded me a bit of Robotech as well with the light show of the fights, the epic blasts and stuff. Was pretty cool to see it from the Empire's side too. That TIE squadron was fantastic - you could tell the personalities of them even without dialogue, and that's some good story-telling. Yes... the chick was hot. Probably had nice feet. too. :3 Good gods, if the next three movies were made this way, it would be epic.

WOW. That was amazing. :D Beautifully done, really had an 80's feel to it and with incredibly high quality animation. Neat how it kind of shows the Imperial perspective too, and the faces of the TIE pilots... that was an incredibly cool watch. ^^ Thanks for sharing!

I thought of Robotech/Macross with some of the dogfight styles too. It's amazing how fan-made stuff can sometimes get you more excited about a thing than the official stuff, though Star Wars is often guilty of this lately!

Mmf, I know! Fan-made stuff is becoming pretty incredible now. With Star Wars, the general rule seems to be if Lucas keeps out of it, it can be very cool. *laughs* That's why, so far, "The Empire Strikes Back" was really the only good Star Wars movie. This was just incredible though - by a LONG shot, the coolest Star Wars thing I've ever seen.

Yeah, I tend to agree where Star Wars is concerned. XD I liked the Clone Wars miniseries that Genndy Tartakovsky did, thought they too did a pretty good job of making me actually care about some of the stuff that was going on in the Star Wars universe better than Lucas tends to. Also having incredibly good animation, if kind of weirdly stylized. Fine once you get used to it though.

Oooh yeah, you showed me the one with Apollo and I really liked it. :) I should really get around to checking out the subsequent ones they've done too! There is some awfully neat fan Trek stuff out there.

Also, I couldn't help but notice the conversation going on right above me between you and AlphaZion about that TIE bomber pilot and her feet. X3 Very fun ideas there, especially (to me) your idea of her being dommy with a captured rebel in some sort of interrogation. That's the sort of scenario I always have a soft spot for, and it reeeeeeeeally doesn't help that I already have an additional soft spot for those tall black boots the TIE pilots and imperial officers tend to wear...

...and not that this is something that Naya would -ever- take advantage of in idle daydreams, either...

*laughs* Yessss... Dammit, you and Alpha are both such bad (good) influences on my brain. XD I've been thinking about it now as to how it might be worked into a story. Would start with the TIE pilot captured by the rebels and Alpha's tickle-torture idea, but would end with a reversal of the situation and the Rebel girl at the pilot's dommy mercy. :3

Nah, honestly, those old cartoons were different than they are today. Everytime my niece is visiting me and we watch today's cartoons, I know that I grew old. XD

I know, right!? Man... he must have a TON of animation/entertainment companies going "SHUT UP AND TAKE OUR MONEY!" I've been around longer than Star Wars has as a franchise, and I liked the original films (new ones sure sucked), but THAT is by a long shot the best Star Wars thing I've ever seen.
