It doesn't get everything my FA account does, and it's been neglected since I had my baby, but if you're leaving FA and you'd rather have something over nothing, there it is! Note, I'm not leaving FA, just sharing my Weasyl account for those who no longer wish to stay here.

WHAT: I'll be accepting more commissions soon. I don't know how soon, because my new baby is a handful.. Slowly but surely.. Make a comment in the appropriate journal that you're interested in and I'll get to as many of them as I can. <3

WHY: I didn't want to make a new journal just for this, so I'm shacking it up in this one. Long story short, my ever-fat cat and best feline friend for well over a decade and half of my life has lost a ridiculous amount of weight in the past month. Once she started creeping into the underweight category and I wasted a lot of money, time and sanity trying different foods, I finally brought her in to the vet.
DIAGNOSIS: Hyperthyroidism. I love my cat like my child, so I went with the Radioiodine therapy treatment option. This is the more expensive option in the short term, but it's the best, most effective and safest for the longterm so I feel good about it. I'm able to pay for it, just barely, with my Care Credit card, so she's going to get treatment starting April 10th. Why open for commissions then? Because I was going to use that money for my very badly needed dental work, that was being put off until my baby was born.. :( My cat's life is more important, so I'm paying for that first, but if I can make large monthly payments on the Care Credit card, I can continue my dental work sooner rather than later. Not being open for commissions consistently for awhile has drained my bank account. I can never catch up! Maybe soon~

And yeah, I've had to deal with that in a couple of our pets. Sadly one of them had to be put down (all of her internal organs eventually started to fail her as well - the treatments were no longer effective at all), and the other wandered off one night and never came back. It's heartbreaking, but at least I know they both had very good, long lives... It always scares me a bit whenever the vet does what you described, though. It's kind of them to try and spare you from any additional worry right away, but it also drives me insane. >>
Definitely hoping for the best for you. I'm pretty confident it'll just be small stuff if they do find anything else. ;w;
I hope Dorito (if that is the right one) gets better soon, it's very selfless of you to put her before you!
