Fatal crash at Nurburgring during VLN endurance race.
The crash involved one of the GT academy winners Jann Mardenborough going airborne on a part of the track named Flugplatz. If you have played GT or Forza for any amount of time you know cars can get air off that part. Jann coming to that part of the track nearly backflipped off it much like Mark Webber did in the Mercedes CLR at Lemans in 1999. Sadly instead of just going into some trees like Mark, Jann's Nissan GTR landed among the spectators injuring several and killing one.
The crash is already on youtube if you choose to watch it but I have always had the policy of not showing race crashes that include the death of driver or spectator. Save for a couple drivers Dale Earnhardt and Ayrton Senna as possibly the most infamous deaths in racing and led to major safety overhauls for both sports they participated.
Keep your thoughts with the family of the fallen spectator and for young Jann as we can only imagine his mindset right now. The remainder of the race was canceled after the accident.

That would be as popular as the one year they installed a 2nd gear chicane on the famous Eau Rouge corner at Spa.
