turns out zenimax uses a "megaserver" so the chances of anyone actually seeing me are near 0
as i had found out when i tried to join my brother in a group
we both existed in the same world, but could see each other until i warped to his position
so if you want to watch me wader around and fail at things, better note me on here first

Also, if you have friends added, you're more likely to join them on their section of the server. You can also use "Travel to Player" from your friends list to guarantee that you end up on their instance.
