Greetings you bananimals.
So I rarely use this journal, probably because the percentage of journal nuking is pretty darn high. So this will probably not get seen by anyone, but I feel inclined to update all of you on how I'm doing.
Let's begin-
Three months ago, the same job that let me go needed me back again due to short staff. I agreed to comeback, but not before presenting to them my conditions. I asked to work 4 days a week from 5 to 10. I requested this so that I may have time to draw as well as time to talk to friends. Both important things granted it's just me and my family and I have no one else to hang out with.
Basically it's for my sanity.
Anyway they agreed to my conditions and I set back to work.
It went well....for a time, but then they started to assign me closing hours and morning shifts, as well as changing my already assigned shifts without asking or notifying me. It didn't help that the schedule was never available most of the time. The way they ran things, It's like they expected me to bend to their will unquestioningly.
For instance on the week of my birthday, I used the schedule to plan an outting with my family on the weekend. I come to find a day later, they took that day away, again without notifying me. I managed to catch it in time and demand that day off.
The week after was the final straw. They teased me with some days off then jolted me with a six day work week.
I quit that Monday night.
I found out later that many of their other loyal staff are also getting fed up with them as well. They just don't want to abandon them.
I mean I understand they are are short handed, but that is no way to treat your staff.
TL;DR I am without a job
Anyway I am taking a small break before looking for another job.
In the meantime, I'm going to tackle commissions and try to put out some YCH's (your character here)
Oh yeah, I also got a haircut, and I look ridiculous.
I know this is a bit late, but I want to say thank you to everyone who has wished me a happy birthday.
And a special thanks to those who went out of their way to draw me something.
I really appreciate all of you guys.
