What's an art slave @.@ I'm so new

Basically someone pays you for lets say a month and you draw for them that month c:
the gist of it xD

Pretty much ^ she summed it up pretty well, but to go a bit deeper:

Say an artist had an art slave auction for 30 days. The bidding would open on it, and then the winner would get 30 days worth of art for whatever price (we'll say $600 for this example. And yes, I've seen them go for higher). So then the artist would do $600 worth of art over the course of 30 days for the winner, and it would be pretty much whatever kind of art the winner wanted. So it could be 30 chibis, 10 heavily detailed pieces, whatever the artist and winner agree upon.

The art slave can be any length of time, and it can go up to any amount of money. I've seen art slaves that range from two days to three months, and the prices have varied immensely as well. (I think the highest I've seen was $1,500, and the bidding was still going)

Yes! I do like the thought of an auction much more than what I orignally had in mind.

What kind of price were you thinking?

I'm honestly NOT entirely sure yet.
I suppose I could work out a type of deal amount.
Like you can pick

5 full bodies, three chibis for this much
or
7 full bodies and 7 chibis

Something like that I suppose and have different prices and you could probably pick which type you'd want

I say if you do this, the best way to pick a price is discussing what the commissioner wants, then just come up with a price at the start. :3

Like. "I want a chibi of my character eatting an apple, shaded with no bg."

Then you give a price of what that would cost. :3

And then you can just keep doing that for the whole month. ouo
