Prismacolor markers are pretty nice o: they arent really... cheap but they're cheaper than copic.
never personally used copics but ive heard that they're a really nice alternative.

They have seperate copics for sale and I could just buy skin colors for now i suppose

I'd recommend prismacolor colored pencils for sure if you are looking for colored pencils.

Definitely try out prismacolor colored pencils like taekwo said, also try blending tortillons for shading, they're awesome (and look like joints >->). Prismacolor also has really great linework pens that come in different point sizes~

That's about all I use for my traditional art before it gets into all the paints ans stuff xD

Yeah, prismacolor color pencils and markers are the shiz. And the blending tortiollions is an awesome suggestion as well. Also, getting a good set of drawing pencils is never a bad idea.

But my best recommendation would be charcoal. Get some stick charcoal, a big sheet of paper and play. It's one of the best feelings you'll ever experience, imo <3

I use copic markers and lining pens for all of my stuff, and I just love them to death. The copics are a little pricey, but well worth it.

Other then copics, I'd say to go with prismacolor. They are pretty much tied with copics in my book.

I use mechanical pencils too. ;_; I don't suck, I promise. That and gel point pens for outlining.

I use mechanical pencils all the time! :3 Coloured pencils, or other sketching pencils, I always buy Derwent brand! I love them! For outlining/detailing pens, I like Micron. But I rarely use ink.

Graphite pencils: Generals brand (I don't like mechanical pencils personally because they don't give you any range in shade or control in my opinion.)
Inking Pen: Prismacolor (gives you different tip sizes they are absolutely fantastic to ink with.) Faber-Castell is good too.
Markers: Prismacolor (I don't have much experience with markers I always found the shades to dark, also you have to buy a ton of colors to get the proper shades. The blender pen though works super well though.)

Just some ideas! You can always browse a store if it's in your area called "Blick" I could spend hours looking at all the supplies it's amazing!
