The prank was done when I was at school.

I was leaning out of the window of the school library, which is on the second floor. I was perfectly safe incidentally.
From behind me, I hear the librarian tell me off for leaning out. Next to the window was a drainpipe, so when she disappeared off to bitch at other kids, I climbed out, and down to the playground below, lay down and then screamed.
She came running to the window, looks down at me lying there still (you have no idea how hard it was not to snerk), and runs to the Dean's office to tell him.
I climbed back up and into the library, sat at a desk and sat there reading. So when the Dean came running in with the librarian, he had no clue what she was talking about.

My brother was born on April 1st. Ever since I was old enough to buy gifts for him myself it's been one gag gift after another.
A couple years were barbie dolls/ken dolls (which he then promptly burnt at the stake).
Once I got him fake lottery tickets.
Switching out video games he wanted into older, crappier game cases. Then repackaging them with $5 clear-out sale stickers.

I did a prank a while back, I was at my buddy's house for halloween wearing my Jigsaw mask. I was standing in his bathroom with the light out, then when he turned the light on, I yelled real loud and chased him through the whole house as he started flipping out.

An April Fools prank that I once pulled off was taking all the quarters from my mom's purse and telling her I was going to spend 10 bucks on games. I got my ass spanked for that one.

Well I put a water balloon under a seat cushion, so that when my dad sat down, expecting a whoopie cushion, his pants got soaked on the back, and he looked like he peed himself. It was hilarious. It totally diminished the fact that he was furious at me. I just couldn't take him seriously. XD

This prank was pulled on me when I was younger, around 9 or 10.

My birthday, unfortunately, falls on the first of April.
My parents decided to take me out to Red Lobster for my birthday, but they know that at that age, I'm predictable as hell. I'm going to order the chicken pasta dish.
That predictability was my downfall. Here comes the server and other people working there, all to wish me a happy birthday. I'm a kinda shy, bashful kid, but I'm giggly because it's my birthday and I'm getting all this attention, and they even brought my food out on a covered plate with a big metal dome on it, and wow, this is neat!

So they uncover the dish. On the plate is a yellow rubber chicken.

The staff laugh.
My parents laugh.
I'm so damned stunned that I go quiet for several seconds, before breaking out into tears, bawling that I can't eat that chicken, and I'm gonna get in trouble for not finishing my plate.

The staff go nervously quiet, and switch over to full on apology mode.
My parents had the decency to look embarrassed, and try to comfort me.

I got free dessert, and an extra one to take home.

I know I can't eat a rubber chicken, you suckers! :D

This was back in '12 in my senior year of school, and we had yet to do a senior prank, so me and a few friends in various classes talked to our teachers and got them to write up the whole class (aware of the prank or not) for silly things. Picking nose, flicking boogers, farting loudly, pushing desks together and sleeping on them, childish things, etc., so on APRIL 2ND (because the 1st was a Sunday, sadly), RIGHT BEFORE LUNCH, the referrals were handed out to all of the classes, and out marched hundreds of students to their respective house offices (school was big, had 3 team offices with a vice principle for each), and all of the referrals were dated for April 1st. Kids were pissed that they were missing lunch, faculty was pissed they were missing lunch, and the kids and teachers who were in on it had a pizza party. In the end, nobody lost their jobs and it took quite a few referrals until they realized what was going on.

I had 2 friends which hang often together and we already called them a " couple", you maybe get the joke by yourself. Just said, both were MALE.

One April 1st day, we totally forgot it WAS this day. We met together, me, some others and this both. we talked about a lot stuff till they talked like "it was nice yesterday with you, im glad you were there" "oh yes it was nice, we can do this again, everytime..." and then they began to kiss each other, WITH TONGUE. o.m.g. they really gave each other a kiss after talking like that, we are all like "GAAAYYY!" the problem was they NEARLY made out in front of us. Than they both breaked out in laughing and told us it was a prank. We should look in our faces they said. We all were just like urrrgggg. I got a long one for ya but its worth it
So me and a friend of mine Cohl were walking back from dinner and we made it to the dorm where we lived, we got stopped by 2 young ladies who knew him and he talked and talked and talked and i got bored so i went up to the floor we lived on and i was gonna wait in my room but an evil thought came to mind as i checked my friend Cohl's room, it was unlocked and his roommate was gone so I waited in his closet shut off all the lights and locked the door, the door knocked and it was our mutual friend Jared i let him in and explained the prank so we decided to get him twice Jared hid under the desk while i hid in the closet, eventually Cohl made it to the door and i jumped from the closet screaming "WHAT ARE YOU DOING" he sprinted out of the room into the main lobby and dove past some chairs shaking i chased after him laughing and after a good laugh i told him about some awesome creepypastas i had been researching about haunted houses and such so as he was reading these my friend Jared from under the desk was making scratching noises and made the desk open and close. From my room i heard Cohl scream "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME????" i investigated and Jared was on the floor laughing and Cohl holding his chest giving us the devil eye so we had the bright idea "lets get your roommate" so we hid Jared in the closet and waited for his roommate to come back and he did with a bunch of people one of which was drunk, so we were telling scary stories setting the mood all the while Jared was making clawing noises from the closet. The only one who caught on to the noises was the drunk friend so we played along like "dude you are really drunk you need to go home" Eventually towards teh end of the night our roommate's friends all went down stairs to play a game of mafia and we followed and we stood in the elevator saying ot one another while Jared was still in the closet "I wish i could see this" before we could finish our sentence we heard form down the hall Matt (Cohl's roommate) screaming "Help!" we just fell to the ground laughing we couldnt even stand

As for a prank I did on ages past.. Well, It was about two some years ago when I was working at the hospital dining area. I was talking to a few friends over by the soda fountains when one of our female counterparts had leaned over to grab something near the Styrofoam cups. Now, I hardly ever boop someones backside unless they know it's me. ( Giggitiy ) But my friend Matt had been in a bit testy mood that morning so I wanted to give a little pay back. Sure enough after I pinched that booty, Naomi turned around and just started giggling and flailing at Matt who had nooo idea what just happened. I was a few yards away trying to keep my lungs in after I literally just did a Home Alone reenactment in real life. XD
