So... what now?

Greetings!
A lot has happened since I posted my last journal entry. A little over a month ago, I lost my job. I've also left my volunteer work behind. So many things have happened in my life that I wasn't able to juggle so many things at once. Fortunately, there's no death in the family, and my family is extremely supportive of me. There's a lot I can't talk about, but what I can say is that I've been maligned in my hometown on a surprisingly large scale. I've been battling head-to-head with those who are responsible, and it appears more likely than not that I will be spending the rest of the year in court. It's not like I have a lot of money to hire attorneys. I can only take things so far before I throw my hands into the air and say, "Can't do it." So it's been a struggle.
Having that said, I've been looking for ways to distract myself from the ongoing craziness happening in my life right now. Now that I have some free time again, I decided to write a little something for you guys. An original, new story is in the works. And if I see people are interested in my work, I'll publish the outstanding commissions that I've been working on for centuries, apparently.
Plot details for the new story will be announced once I can guarantee a release date.
