That's not really a bug, but how failures at MicroShit were unable to actually do a merge. :| Go figure.

Ah, yeah. If you never created a Skype account and instead migrated, then yeah that's what happens.

That's not Microsoft's fault , it's how Skype decided to migrate accounts.
If you have had created an account, they will find you as your desired Skype name, but since you just migrated, people need to add the "live:" that tells Skype that you migrated. No big deal really, just always tell your customers to add " live:jamesfoxbr "

But this live:jamesfoxbr is an account with my name and an old avatar I cannot access, it's like a ghost account and people cannot use to talk to me

Make a Skype account and write down the people on your list and add them to your Skype account? IDK

might be a fake account, there are idiots out there who find it funny to make fake accounts of big artists and such to confuse people.

I'd try contacting Skype support about that, see if you can figure it out.

I have been having a lot of troubles with Skype lately like images not sending/receiving, text chat not sending or loading for 5min before finally getting to the person. I figured out that Skype is using part of internet explorer and once I reset the settings in IE completely (full reset found under Tools >> internet settings >> advanced >> Restore Default) everything works fine again... you could give it a try :/

I would blame the connectivity to Skype itself. I don't think IE has anything to do with it and Microsoft owns Skype, but the Skype devs are the same as the old Skype, so they are the ones responsible for what we're getting.
I do get those issues at times as well, but they are all gone at random.

I didn't believe it myself it, Skype devs suggested this themselves and told Skype depended on IE parts. (found on Skype forum with people having the same issues). Like I said: I resetted IE and my Skype problems are gone, so it definitely was a IE problem. What I don't know is if this fix wil help with Jamesfoxbr's problems, but then again no hurt in trying it unless you got lots of cache and saved passwords from IE that you use...but most people don't use IE as their main browser. :)
