What do you want to know?: UK Taxes and/or Google Docs?

Just wondering if you guys want to know a few ins and outs of UK taxes for self employed people. I'm not a tax adviser but I've found a few interesting things that I'm not sure people are aware of that you CAN claim for if you do your records properly. I don't mind making a video of sorts showing a bit of my book keeping and how I manage my reciepts/files/etc.
Any specific questions you'd want answered for something like this?
And obviously NOT for UK taxpayers alone:
Artists!!
Also, I use google docs and invoicing to make my work streamlined. Would you guys be interested in any information like this? If so, what questions would you have so that I can better compile it to your needs? :O

I haven't got a clue how they work (especially for self employment) and I really struggle with numbers. I keep getting told I don't have to worry about them so much because I earn fuck all really.
I've seen something on the .gov site that you can request them when you file, but its a load of BS. >_> Even with an accountant we searched high and low and its false information. When I rang they said you have to call to get them. Hah!
Any tips that you have learnt along with way, any big no-no's, possibly any things that self-employed can get/do in the UK, such as.... reduced dentist costs for example (I know that isn't one at all xD but I am just curious if there's anything)
I usually end up phoning HMR people a few times and being like "so just to confirm you have recieved EVERYTHING from me for this tax year and I don't need to do anything until next year?" and they're always like "Yeah, you have filled out your online form-thing, it's all done."
I'm all self-taught in this and sometimes feel like ... Hurrdurr what am I doing <.<;
Is it worth ever hiring anyone to help?
I usually earn less than the threshold to actually pay tax for that tax-year, but I record everything of course regardless, -nodnod-
... excuse the ...rambles and if I sound super dumb <.<;
