I just want to say, I bought a pair a couple years ago while at Otakon. I've found them to be very fun, and they tend to catch a lot of attention! It's not too bothersome, and it's quite amusing to feel the ears move about on their own. Wearing them enough lets you get a sense of what you're doing, and, trust me, they do react to specified levels of certain brainwaves.

One thing I will warn you about, though, is that there's a clip that attaches to your left earlobe, and I believe it's purpose is to ground it. If it's not attached, the ears don't work. While the clip isn't all that bad, if you, say, wear it for many hours at a time during a weekend? It hurts. But that's me being stupid by wearing them so long and so often.

There's a lot of support for ear-slips, too. They come with the white cat-like ones, but it's not hard to find, say, cheetah or fox ears. And, again, they really are a lot of fun, both to wear and for other people to see in action.

*facepalms* leave it to Japan XD .... if I was a girl ...or more girly than I let on offline... I would probably be scrambling to get a pair XD they do look rather cool ^_^ I would probably end up finding a way to hide the band with my hair or something XD

They seem to be largely of good reviews. Might have to think about plunking down $50.

Before you buy them? Try to find a photo of a side view of the left side of the head.

That battery box is annoyingly large.

They need to put the battery box on top middle of the head band so it can balance on your head (and be less annoying).

These have been out forever. There's actually a video of the late Justin Carmical (JewWario) Wearing a pair while gueststarring in an episode of WTFIWWY (What The Fuck Is Wrong With You). Watching the confusion on his face and the ears lower and twitch as he tried to comprehend what he just heard was adorable XD

I really want the cat ear headphones/speakers though.
