OC Sessions?
I've always wanted to do these but I only just got OpenCanvas. Hahaha I'm so late when it comes to trends. BUT, if someone's willing to help me figure out how to set this up and shit (it seems pretty straightforward but knowing me I'll find a way to mess something up), I definitely wanna have these with like everyone and their grandma.
Anyonedownpossibly?
Anyonedownpossibly?
I think I'll have to get Hamachi.
Anyway
To host:
Network > Show Network Windows > Network preference (Here you can change the options. Don't forget the LAYERS. It's in layernum. Fucking OC keep 2 layers as default. 4 is good. You can change the width and height, but don't touch the port. ) and then it's ok > Server (You can choose a random username and a password but that's not required. Just in case you're scared someone would join your session with out your authorization ) > PUSH THE BUTTON "STAND BY" AND TADA YOU'RE CONNECTED TO OC.
Once you're connected oc will give you your ip like this:
<ƒT[ƒo‘Ò‹@>
HOST: Computer name
IP: YOUR IP
Now you just have to give your ip to the dood you are oc-ing with.
To connect your IP:
IF YOU'RE HOSTING YOU DON'T NEED THIS
Network > Show Network Windows > Client ( There again you can choose an username ) > Connect IP -- there you connect the ip your pal gave you. And you push the button to get connected.
TADAA!
Several problems why openCanvas wouldn't work:
- Your firewall. They tend to block access to your computer. Just turn it off.
- Wrong ip. For some reasons, OpenCanvas didn't give the good ip of your computer. You can find your ip in your options.
- EVERYTHING IS FUCKED UP And you have to download hamachi to have a correct ip. That's what I did on my last computer.
If it doesn't work. Then you (( or your pal ) have a shitty comp >:U... Don't forget that if it doesn't work with someone, it may work with someone else! And if you fail at hosting (( because OC refuses to connect ) ask your pal to HOST.
Wow that was tl;dr and my english is lame.
