First fur con question

Fur The 'More is a go so this will be my first fur con. I've been to a Comic Con before but not with a suit and this is where my question arises. I won't be in suit for at least the first part of the day so I'm kind of nervous to leave Zipper in the car. I have her in a tote and I'll probably put it in the trunk but I'm terrified that she'll get heat damaged. Am I over reacting? If I'm not, will I be allowed to keep the tote in the headless lounge or whatever? We're only going for one day so I didn't worry about hotel rooms or anything.
Just take it slow, dont rush, make sure you are feeling ok at all times, and if you feel stressed, overheated, exhausted at any point, relax and take a break. Do you have any friends going with a room? if so, see if you can keep your suit in there, or go there to take a break if needed.
