I chose a panda because I felt a connection and an inspiration through Po from KFP. I saw much of myself and some life experiences through his character. Furthermore, I believe a panda, being black and white, is a reminder and a representation of the duality, the yin and yang, good and evil, that is present within all of us. And it is whatever path or decisions we make that determine who we are. Also, being black and white (and Asian), the panda is symbolic of being without bias and without prejudice, encompassing and embracing all forms and walks of life. Also, I have an affinity for Asian culture and zen and martial arts, much like my affinity for furs (preferably chubby/fat ones, lol). Pandas are also cute, attractive, and mysterious.
Yeah, I know, it's pretty deep, isn't it? I'm not sure if many others have gone into depth about their fursona choice like me. I had initially contemplated having an elephant fursona, since they're my favorite animals next to pandas and other bears.
In addition the panda fursona question, I also studied martial arts when I was a kid, so that's kinda where I felt that connection to Po and things from other martial arts/kung fu-related films. I never finished my studies with Isshin Ryu Karate. As a kid, your interests tend to change and something else draws your attention. As I answered Kage's question, I mentioned how I regret it now as an adult, but would like to pursue martial arts again @ some point.
Well, Zian has nearly reached his goal of becoming a Master in the art of Kung Fu...
On the other hand, IRL, I've only attained an Orange Belt in Isshin Ryu Karate. I stopped when I was a kid, something I now regret as an adult. However, Kung Fu Panda and other martial arts films have inspired me to want to pursue martial arts again @ some point.
