My god this moving was fucking amazing. Being somebody that had seen the original anime, Space Battleship Yamato (Starblazers in the US), this movie was a welcomed sight. Fantastic detail, wonderful effects, and superb acting. Not to mention I was getting pulled into the movie emotionally. The ending made me cry so goddamn hard!

Overall I give this movie two thumbs up and highly recommend this to those that enjoy scifi with a bit of re-awakened history.


I may look into getting a commission featuring the illustrious Yamato. She is a ship of legend.
