Okay, it came out 11 days ago, but I just saw it for the first time today.
Look at it. Just look at it.

Oh my fuck, that movie looks amazing.
And like I said before (I think), it comes out on my birthday.
It's like J.J. Abrams is giving me a giant-ass present for some reason. Maybe he likes my name. </jokenoonewillget>
I squee-ed like an excited squirrel when I saw the bit with the Enterprise twisting to avoid debris.
I'm a big time Trekkie, but it's always bothered me: space has three dimensions, but in Trek, you only ever see them use two of them, like they were naval vessels. Why didn't we ever see any ships approaching the Enterprise from above? Or at least have them rotated differently. This looks to actually take the physics of space into account, and that's awesome.
So yeah. I'm looking forward to this movie.
Thoughts? Comments? Gushing praise?
FANBOYING OVER.

I've heard that it is protocol to use galactic Z as normal ship operations and that it is customary and polite to have ships on the same axis when engaging.
*shrugs* but what the hell do I know I'm just repeating, speculating a tagging myself as a huge dork *L*
