and hon, sorry but to hell what others say or think. you had reasons for blacklisting them and it's based off of your own experience with these people. if they disrespected you then you have your right to block them. "Fool me me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on you." And if they and their friends can't handle it the f*** them and move on. It's not your fault people are ignorant and stupid.

Yeah, I agree. Honestly, I am beyond tired of being walked over for being too nice. I will continue to be nice as can be to people who are nice back, but I will not be a doormat to people who are assholes, taking advantage of my kindness.

I wouldn't post my blacklist publically, I would just state in a situation where those people attempt to adopt privately speak to them and say that you don't feel comfortable giving that character to them. Frankly I can understand it I know a person in real life who I pulled into the fandom who adopted some adorable characters I really liked. Then they decided they wanted to make those characters into their own personal harem and do things against the personality that they were given as well as constantly get art of their fetish to which broke my heart to see those characters used in a way that seemed completely opposite of who they were established as. I think if I was the one who designed them I would easily be offended seeing that.

Well, I don't personally have a problem with what people do with the adopts they get from me, as much as them giving them to people on my blacklist. They're on the blacklist for reasons such as harassment, suspicious accounts, scamming etc. I do understand what you mean though. Also if they continuly break my species rules, I will blacklist them as well.

Ah, so they are on your list for breaking a form of ToS. Well in that case I would still say don't post it publically because I actually got banned from someone's journal for this. But frankly I think if you put people's names out there with a reputation it is sort of like targeting them for harassment from people who seriously have issues online. Although, I would see it as making it public information would be helpful at the same time what does it really help? I mean if you said "I don't like X person" it's like you said about creating problems. If the persons contact you then it's a lot of drama.

Plus, there is always the argument as to whether or not some of that stuff is actually proven ect. So in the end I would still leave it as an unknown and just put them on a blocklist so they can't purchase anything. They also couldn't contact you to bother you.

The only reason I would post it publicly would be so they don't get my creations from others who resell/gift the characters away. I think you're right though, I should just contact the individual if that happens, and report the person in my blacklist and block them. They're all blocked anyway. I've tried not blocking them, and like you said they commented to me rudely and wouldn't leave me be. I was just wondering if posting it publicly would help my babies not end up in their hands.

Oh, I see a resell thing. Hm, in that case I would create a document for your users to sign who purchase them from you so when they do they can reference users who are not allowed to have your characters. Make it an adopt agreement and let it be understood by your fans that they cannot go to those people. That way if a character winds up being resold to those particular individuals you can trace back who got it in the first place.

That's actually a good idea. I need to have a document saying who I sold what to. That would really help. Thank you for all the advice, and for listening in the first place. :)

But yeah, definitely would suggest writing up and adopt agreement. Let it be known when you sell them that it is part of the process and if people don't like it well let them know it's just because you don't want your adopts in certain people's hands and that's all it entails.

Now a days, you've got to do something like that, because there's so many people who try to screw others over.
