I need help with my iphone 4S
Recently, my iphone has stopped working in my car. It will play for a few seconds then the stereo said not supported. That has never happen before and I've had the stereo for about 5 or 6 years. So I thought it was the cable so I replaced it. It worked for 30 secs then the not supported message appeared. So I thought my stereo finally stopped working for me. So I tried my mom's iphone 4 and it PLAYED!!! So my reaction was WTF!!! So I let it played for like 20 mins and it continued working then I tried mine. Not supported. So I plugged it up to my labtop. Labtop and itunes couldn't find and the labtop said it had malfunctioned.
I went to the almighty... YOUTUBE for answers I tried the hard reset and something called the DUI mode or something like that idk. Anyway, I don't want to by another ipod and I don't want to go back to making a bunch of CDs so... Can any of you awesome furry iphone users help? I would greatly... Greatly isn't good enough but I can't think of a word so... I would greatly appreciate any help.
Thanks guys and girls and anything inbetween or above haha. Have a good day or night :)

Yeah it's probably your settings or your system. Were you using any iPod or iPhone cord to plug in the stereo?

Yes I was using the cord. I hope it's not the system, I don't want to replace the stereo. Too much money to get a new one then have someone install it for me

Both our phones have the 8.3. What should I clean it with?

I'll have to try it. I really don't want to have to buy an ipod just to replace my iphone's main purpose, music.

Try re-installing whatever program you are using to broadcast to the stereo. Also, see if you can flush the phone from your stereo's connection memory.

you could just buy a new headphone jack, use YouTube how to video, or if your stereo has Bluetooth capabilities just use Bluetooth to stream your music
