Comic Stuffs
Okay, for those who knew me from the past and those who know about the stuff that I did this is old news. For the newer folks, I used to draw a comic called the BF Funnies. My little doodles and nonsensical bits of humor seemed to catch on and make a few folks smile, which was wonderful. Sadly it never was finished... but I am back now and have gotten an okay from some folks and whom I needed to get them from. Soooo... without further ado, the comic will be continuing and wrapping up that darn story arc! Past that point, not so sure yet. However, I had also started work on a companion comic to the BF Funnies set years in its future (gee, wonder why? derp) called BF Adventures. I had some great ideas for it and brain stormed stuff with a few of the folks who would be appearing in it. Too good of a story to ever dare shelf or put aside.
Which means my eventual goal is to restart the BF Funnies and run its future comic along side it as well. Kinda like watching the TV show Arrow. You get modern story and flashbacks every episode, even when you don't want them! Mind you, I do like Arrow, but the flashbacks in that show are groan worthy now since he left the island... okay back on topic... ahem. Right, the original comic will fill in the story for how things happened in the past and the modern comic will be the continuing adventures of the characters, both old and new ones.
The big thing that has been bugging me, and I've been speaking to others about this already, is where to put the comics up. I'd love to do it here cause this is an old site, I'm old, and have a love for my fellow fossils. But, it is unruly. No way to separate the comics apart from all the other scribbles I may put up. I'd love to keep them here but it is bugging me about the shuffle and would make it hard for folks to see it easily. So, I toss the idea out to the masses gathered. Think tank time. I'd be happy for feedback or suggestions on this conundrum. Thanks in advance.
Oh oh... wanna see the first new comic from BF Funnies? Number 291? Lemme know as well, cause it's all done already.

FA+

Have you tried tumblr?
Pro is, it's separate like you want it to be from your other works here. Your fans can follow the comic as well.
You can link it back here, but it'll be separate.
And as for Tumblr, although it's pretty easy to upload stuff, it takes a lot of work to actually just look through someone's posts there (since Tumblr easily mixes your posts with your reblogs, making it to where it's kind-of a jumbled mess after a while).
For future comic posting, my recommendation would be to go with either DeviantArt (for their folder system, which makes organizing your content super easy) or the new site Weasyl (which also has a good folder/organization system), To check out Weasyl and see what they're about, you can find them here ---> ( https://www.weasyl.com/ ).
Anyway, I hope that helps and I look forward to seeing you continue your webcomic ventures. =3
If I can think of any better ideas I'll post it in another comment. :3
Tumblr is... It's awful for categorization unless you go out of your way to customize your blog page with hyperlinks.
Most people that post comics to FA though will put hyperlinks in the description. Usually to the first, next, and previous pages.
But if I ever do need a bat cameo, you're tops on the list hun. Only bat I really know off hand.
That is, if I'm even wearing a shirt to take off in the first place!
As someone said above though, the first next previous function on FA works really well for that. Could put them on macrophile in addition to FA as well! Not as many people on there nowadays, but there's still a dedicated group that visits. Same goes for the bigfurs forums, though I think they have even less. :/
I did a few BigFurs related artwork including a 4 or 5 page comic that managed to get me 50$ from sight
I also based quite a number of character in my strip "Mucking Around", I probably would have included you in it eventually, but I think you were gone by then, I dunno. As I worked on "Mucking Around" I slowly lost contact with the BF who I had used in the strip plus what felt like a huge lack of interest I ended it at 100 comics, there was a lot more planned but by the time I hit the 60th comic they were coming out slower and I was losing interest in continuing the strip. Course being a 3 or 4th rate artist/cartoonist I barely ever feel that I'm supported.
Sorry if this is a little winded, not sure why I told this....
*sighs*
But seriously Bucky, don't be so hard on yourself like that. My comic art is nothing too special. There are tons of artists who do way better work than I by far. Specially with all the digital art being the craze. Time is passing for we traditional pencil and paper artists, but that's okay. It's the heart that counts that you put into the piece Bucky. That you're willing to make something free of charge to share with folks is always a wonderful thing. If even one person sees it and smiles or enjoys what you made, it is worth all the effort you took to create it. I for one need to go and see what you did then Bucky. I was... on Mars, under a rock, with my fingers in my ears for a while... so I missed it.
No harm in taking another stab at the comic again either Bucky. As I have learned quite recently, it's never too late to go home. Someone is always gonna be there to greet you. Pick up the pencil and try. You might be surprised at the results. Time is a nice way to recharge creativity.
I'll be watching...
It's really split here. I guess the choice is up to you. Or maybe you could hold a vote. :o
http://www.webcomicsnation.com/grav.....nes/series.php yes it still exists and post here as well.
I wanna be in the comic again too! Who else is going to give you all those sweets??
I think that if you post them here, the aforementioned PREV and NEXT links in the your-comment area would help keep things straight, no matter where any individual comic might fall in the new-stuff feed.
Tumblr is okay for stream-of-thought stuff, but gets pretty chaotic pretty quickly.
Sadly, I'm not too familiar with alternate avenues for posting. I'm just on here, DA, Macrophile, and Tumblr (though I don't even remember my password there, it's been a while...).
As you already know, it has a very organized folder mechanic. Weasyl does too, but it's not as good. The SoFurry organization of all of the contents of the folder on the side makes jumping around the folder a lot easier. SoFurry also has a handy HD Viewer tool for art. Click a picture, and it opens an HD viewer that easily zooms in and pans around. Finally, SoFurry also has a standardized tagging system, which makes it, in my opinion, makes it the easiest archive to search.
Unfortunately, the fact nobody else mentioned it above is probably testament to how much less popular it is.
