don't forget that you can buy more friends with more expensive commissions
there's no longer a reason to fear if you've got the personality of a wet dishrag!!
your dad keeps his wallet in the armoire -- you know, the one next to the master bed
it's calling for you, tiger

Basically, I've been having a grand ol' laugh at those bright, hot, sexy 'stars'. They rush through at most a year or two of uploading incredible (and expensive) porn and then just about burn out completely. Its like they realize that buying fame in this fandom gets you little else but a lighter wallet.
It's really kind've a weird quirk of the fandom, and kinda sadly I think some folks buy bunches of art expecting that it will make them happier/lots of friends/etc., when in reality the most you get are folks who just wanna see you buy more porn. :D
I've seen (and have been friends with...) some folks who collected great hoards of art for their character, then when over the years they developed a reputation for being an asshole, dumped the character and created a new one, bought tons of art, and picked up much more fame and favor than they had before.
Of course, if anyone were to expose them, you can guess who'd be labeled the douche.
At a base level the problem is that in the fandom there's a correlation of: Good Person/Fun Person/Neat Person = Known and "famous."
Hell, people will even do free art and other things for people, or for furry businesses, merely for the sake of being exposed and having some snippet of that exposure transferred to them.
The problem is our mediums for furry community, i.e. FA and other sites, only allow us to expose people who post content, most of which is art.. there's really not a network to accommodate that at present.. you either make art, or buy art, else you're unknown and can't get a hold. Not that there's any need to, besides making your own group of friends and whatnot, but hey.. the fandom is kind've a weird amalgamation!
