It's always sad to lose a loved one, even if it is a pet. It sounds like you gave him many good years, and that should be celebrated. Keep the good times with Goofen in your heart and rest assured knowing he suffers no more.

I know the feeling all too well. Had one of our cats who suffered from a failing liver and kidneys that was also having seizures. Nothing could be done for her, sadly, though she did live 15+ years before we had to put her down at the vet. Was a very sad day to say the least, but I take comfort in knowing that she had this understanding look on her face when the procedure was going on, like she knew it was her time and she was purring the entire time and at peace. I still tear up remembering that, and even typing this...

Goofen had a similar understanding. He knew he was going to be set free from the procedure and sleep in one last time. He now runs in the grassy fields where Ulvar is now. Im still suffering myself... keep sobbing and tear up now and then. Even despite everyone says he is in a better place, I cannot help but... ugh.. I just cry.

I'm so sorry. I've lost pets I cared about in the past, before, so I know how hard it can hit you. Please be well. Any other pets may be mourning as well, so keep a close-ish eye on them.

I know how it feels to lose a very close pet, I had a dog and we had to let him go too. He had a heart attack and there was nothing I could do to save him and I could only watch in sorrow as he passed away. It's a hard feeling to accept and even today I think about it. I hope you'll be ok and like I said I'm here for you buddy. :(
