Hey guys. Lately I've been pondering something, and I dunno whether it would actually work out but hey, no harm in at least talking about it, right?
Lately I've been considering the prospect of making a Patreon.
I’d like to give myself a means of being more active/reliable with my art output, and while commissions can be tricky to get figured out, I’m unsure if I should just stick with getting a couple of those every now and then, or trying my hand at making a Patreon?
I’m not sure what I would offer though; I pretty much toss everything I do for you guys onto the internet as it is. If I made a Patreon, what sort of…”incentives”, for lack of a better term, could I offer my patrons? It’s still kind of a strange concept to me, but it would potentially make my life a lot easier, especially since we’re gonna be moving out by the end of this month so obviously money is a big deal for us right now.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Would anyone be interested if I did? It’s very weird cuz I don’t like feeling like I’m ‘asking for money’, but Patreon’s an interesting thing and I’ve seen several artists I greatly admire do cool things with it. Granted, I don’t think I’m nearly as ‘popular’ as any of them, but I’ve been around the interweb long enough to feel like there’s no harm in asking, at least.

So what about high resolution versions, WIPS, PSDs, tutorials or priority-discount on your comissions? That way you get money for Patreon, the supporters get nice stuff, and the people who crowd your FA still get your art.
I don't use it for artwork, but I use it to fund my videos. I find it a pretty good motivator to keep producing content.
