Auctions?

Would any of you guys respond well to auctions?
I watch that guy King Cheetah who seems to be a FA bigwig at least to lil' ol me. XD He has this pretty cool idea, though I'm not sure if it was his idea originally or not. Pretty much what it involves is that I would draw a handful or two of sketchy 1/3 the way done drawings of anthro cars in different sexual, playful, or interesting poses. Left in a very unfinished state lacking any individual features. Watchers then get a week or whatever to bid money on each particular drawing and pay to have me finish it to their specifications. Getting to choose which sex, change small details in the pose, add different personal details to the car perhaps making it into one of their characters or carsonas. Oh, and something unique to us car people, getting to choose what model/make car the character is. ;)
Now of course I'm interested because it seems to be very profitable as well as letting me interact more with my audience and make sure I'm giving you guys the content you really want to see. I'm also always so horrible at pricing things, I'm never sure what's a fair price for commissions and such but at the same time I don't trust myself and know I sell myself short a lot of times.
So anyway, I think this could be really great for you guys too. Any of you who have been wanting me to draw their carsona/real life car/ect. Or people who've wanted me to draw a certain model car forever.. you could finally get your say and such. :)
What do you think guys? Would you like me to try this?

FA+

but if you really want to do it, pricing would need to start cheap like in the cents, which may seem low but as they say to get to the top you need to start at the bottom
but when you think about it this is a YCH (your character here) and well there are quite a few of them around
As a whole, I think it's a really good idea. I follow King Cheetah as well, and I notice his go over very well, and I don't think you'd have many issues with getting takers. I hope to hear what you decide to do.
Yeah, and I mean.. b/w tablet sketches of the quality Cheetah does.. those would be easy. No better way to get good payment on art then to have people fight over it. XD
You can go for something niche ( like bdsm, inflation, etc though likely mechaphilia for you xD) or a more general pose. But obviously, niche stuff only hits a small market and general poses there are a lot of, so your YCH can get lost in a see of others.
I've done a couple, usually when I have a sketch and want to stick a fluff in it. They go moderately well :)
Because sure, what you said is valid. But you could also look at it like 'hey at least I'm not competing with 1000 other artists doing the same type work.' And you KNOW how amazing some furry artists are at art!
I think I was trying to say that niche /can/ be good but it limits who wants the art and gives you less pockets to raid... idk? xD
These figures are silly but say you have a pool of 20 people who want general art, but then you do a niche that only 5 are into, those 5 might not have deep pockets or even have cash to spend on commissions at all!
I guess the best thing is to just have a go. Draw a pose that you wouldn't mind complete and doesn't take you too long ( incase it doesn't sell) and then I'd probably be a Ladder Auction, where the higher the bid, the more work goes into the drawing ( like sketch, lined work, colour, colour with shading).
