possibly an unpopular opinion

🎃 -- 🎃 -- 🎃 -- 🎃 -- 🎃 -- 🎃 -- 🎃I personally think that if you're gonna sell art at a high price.
Have high quality art.
Or just quality.
Honestly. How. Are. You. Getting. Commissions.
Or why are you getting them... or why are your prices so high for pieces of artwork that I could do myself if I tried.
I'm not even a good anthro artist but I could do that.

Just to be clear, I'm not talking about artists that give all breasts the same shape (I myself have issues with breast variety), hyper or other fantasy body mod artists, and certainly not those with unique anatomical styles all around (though even "front vaginas" from any artist kind of disturb me lol).
Aside from this, I'm only bothered by extremely rude artists and artists who consistently behave unprofessionally, yet continue to get floods of commissions. I've commissioned quite a few people and most are extremely kind, considerate, and professional, but they only occasionally have full queues. =\ I don't care how high of quality art I can receive from a rude person, even if it's 75% off, I'd rather commission someone I can trust to not treat me poorly through the commissioning process. That's me though...
I recently heard a large influx of stories about the bad behaviors of a few extremely popular artists (taking exceptional amounts of money for adopts then reclaiming them, attacking competitors, copying other designs and using their popularity to "prove" their innocence, etc.). That kind of saddens me considering I know so many underappreciated artists with great style and at least polite customer service.
