So as some people know, I'm a huge fan of Weird Al. Man's a genius and I love his work. He has a song that I won't name, which is a parody of MacArthur Park. Now, MacArthur Park is a trumpet piece by the great Maynard Ferguson. Man was a god of trumpet and could just do phenomenal things. Seriously, YouTube is. So this morning, when I heard the familiar musical theme, I cranked the radio up. I love the original. I love Al's parody. So this should be great, right? Well, I'm honestly confused. I can take Weird Al's parody more seriously than this 'serious version'. I will let you decide which one is from a comedy genius and which one is an actual song....
