Back! Sorry for the silence!
Since returning a week or so ago, I've been rather quiet, journal- and comment-wise. I just haven't had much on my mind I felt worth talking about.
I'm waiting on my mother to have a major surgery, meanwhile they've been hunting down a secondary complication that keeps preventing them from doing the operation. They think they've figured out the secondary problem and now they want to know if her heart surgeon wants her to have the gall bladder removed first or after the aortic valve is replaced.
In addition, I'm managing my mom's rental property, which is not as easy as it sounds, mostly because it's a vacation rental and we have people there almost as often as a hotel would. I have to go over every time someone leaves and make sure the place was cleaned and the linens washed. Then there's the website hosting the ad for the rental, which is a pain in the friggin' ass. Excuse my language. It tick me off to no end.
My father is a leukemia patient, and he tends to be wobbly because he has notoriously random blood pressure (usually low, but it can be fine and drop suddenly cause of his meds) and he's diabetic (though you'd never know it from his blood test readings).
I myself am a diabetic, so I have to deal with m own ups and downs, especially since my meds don't do a great job controlling it. I'd almost give my firstborn child to have my diabetes under control. I would give my firstborn child to not have diabetes.
And in addition to all that I'm trying to get my Roleplaying game book files sorted, edited, and formatted for publication It's milking the last drop of my sanity!
Well, enough about me, how about the rest of you?
