To be honest, I've only ever played LoL and the original DotA back when it was actually a Warcraft 3 thing. Never played any others. But as a whole they're just.. I dunno. I find them meh. Doesn't help that I'm not really into competitive gaming like I used to be.
I do like horror movies. Sadly there are too few -good- ones. Mostly everything is suspense or thriller these days. I want a movie that will leave me afraid of the dark and wanting to make sure there are no monsters under my bed or in my closet. x3
I do love the old cheesy horror movies though! Any you'd recommend?
I find I don't really pay that much attention to things these days. The new Tomb Raider will probably be good but meh. Witcher 3 kind of, but I know my PC won't run it well and I still need to finish 2 so there's no rush, ya know?
Has there been a game you've dismissed but later played and really enjoyed?
I tried playing Morrowind when it came out on the Xbox, got to the first big town, joined the Fighter's Guild and proceeded to get my ass handed to me by the rat in that woman's cellar.
I took the disc out, put it back in it's case and said "What a waste of money that was!"
Thankfully a couple of months later I gave it another go, fell in love with it :P
Not particularly, no. Don't know of anything new that's coming out.
Yes. The newer Tomb Raider was one of them. Didn't feel like a TR game to me at first. Played it for a bit and put it down. Went back some months later and loved it. Another one was Men at War: Assault Squad. Hated it at first, picked it up later though and fell in love with the micromanagement in it.
Morrowind will always have a place in my heart. Probably one of my favourite older games of all time.
Ah yeah, I remember that. Glad you gave TR another shot. It's got some problems but overall a really good game in my opinion.
I've never played that, but I tend not to play many RTS games these days.
Used to play them all the time when I was younger but now I'd rather have something turn based like XCOM.
Oh yeah, same for me, a lot of good memories of playing Morrowind.
I dread to think how much time I've spent playing it =p
I have trouble with turned based. I start to lose interest during the down times. XCOM was especially bad about it, when the enemy turns would take forever to complete (or get stuck on the enemy's turn all together. ><)
Ah yeah, that's true. And if it's XCOM then it also usually includes the aliens getting some BS shot that instantly kills your best unit >.<
Can't remember exactly what game it was, might be something I had on the DS, but the enemy turns took freaking forever that it just made me not want to play the game even though the rest of it was great.
I just find in RTS I'm too slow to do anything. Like in AoE I'll spend the first hour just building houses and a woodcutter, meanwhile the AI has advanced to the Castle Age and is sending 10,000 troops my way =p
Completely depends on the RTS for me. Like, in command and conquer, I'm terrible about that kind of stuff. I build a massive base and tech up faster than anyone, but a lot of times I get rushed or attacked before I can recoup the costs enough to make any kind of army (But if I survive your initial attack, it's game over man~). In something like Starcraft, I turtle waaaay too much and end up stabbing myself in the foot by not expanding to the other resource points.
