(and 30 more from 2013) (and 32 more from 2014)Back this giant monster Game, Kaiju Combat, and you can play Aram's sister-in-spirit, DragonLotus! I'm starting a project to put together a comprehensive guide on Commissioning, with special focus on Commissioning Etiquette.
I have posted a full preface on Weasyl
I welcome any feedback you may have. You can leave some here, but I would prefer comments to be left on Weasyl, if possible.

don't talk about commissioning club...
The second rule of commissioning club...
Don't be a dick...
And I've had a few experiences that made me uncomfortable. Hope they're covered! Maybe there needs to be another thing written for how artists should deal with and treat commissioners!

I made an annoyed journal about some commissioners, but it's a 2-way street, and he pointed it out best.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. :) I'll send a note to Sal
Patience, Communication, Research in Advance, are 3 key ingredients I find a lot of people lack. Thankfully I don't lack all 3. haha More in my Weasyl reply :)
But .. uh .. if I put my feet up, I can't see the screen, ... >.>
Like most things in life, there are 3 things that we get to pick 2 of. Like, "Quick, Good, or Cheap" In your trio, "Patience, Communication, Advance Research" -- I excel at the first two, not so great at the 3rd. But I make up for it with Flexibility, I think. I like to give my artists a lot of freedom (a point which will be made in Section 3).
I'll read up on your itty bitty book comment over dinner, perhaps. Thank you for taking the time to write it! :)
I also enjoy giving the artist some freedom to do a bit of their own magic! Gives them a bit of fun to play around with the piece :)
Hope your dinner is super tastey!
Okay PLEASE do this, I need this, especially how to handle gift art and freebies. So many people would benefit from this. As someone whose commissions bought:commissions/other art done is like 1:900, I sorely am wanting on info like this. Buying custom art makes you a WAY better artist.
