Big fan of raffles, personally. I hate when artists I really want to commission only open slots at around 0400 my time, and fill them by 0410.

Yeah, that's the kind of reason why I'm seeing what people think. It's unfortunate when a person has been waiting a long time for commissions to open up but miss out because of work or time differences. Then again, the same kind of person might also miss out because the raffle is random.

I'd say there is always picking what you'd like to do. Plenty of artists do that. And if the idea interests them enough they send a "ok your good to go".

But its kinda u to you. If you just need money for the moment, usually people go first come first serve.But its not recommended, cause then you get repeat people all the time that stalk you to no end and jump the very second you open up.

Mmm, maybe even hand pick the commissions based on theme to mix up the variety of content put out at one time. But I could see a couple reasons why that wouldn't work out too well

Mhm. Yeah people complaining and getting fussy over not picking theirs. And favoritism comes into play.

I dislike first-come-first-served, but at the same time, trusting a random number generator for a raffle is also kind of lame. No worse feeling than getting passed over because of shitty luck. There may not be a way to win this one.

why not both? or more. 5 slots. 2 FcFS, 2 random, 1 auction?

That sounds awesome actually. I haven't seen how auctions slots work though o.o or would it be like YCH auction slot

Well I do have a YCH sketch waiting in the wings, and it would give me a chance to draw whatever I feel like. This sounds wonderful :3

A few first come first sever, a few raffles, then auction off the last spot. that way you cover every fair way.

This sounds like the most reasonable plan. My line of thought would be this:

Only Raffles means that people are going to be left out, and it would be up to chance that more than one person gets to have a chance.
First-Come First serve alone would mean that only those who can rabidly watch the journals would have a shot at getting art.
Onyl auctions would drive the prices up to the point only a select few could pay for it.
