TacticalFur I have a habit of posting commissioned art for characters and hybrid designs of mine and not putting character bios for them right off the bat if it is the first instance of that character, or the first instance of that character in its finalized form. With that said, I always eventually will get to a bio for my characters, as character development is a hobby and enjoyment of mine. I always outright state if a character I post commissioned art for does or does not belong to me, and I always give credit to the artist whom I commissioned. I am always open to answer any questions regarding my characters and hybrids, especially if they do not have set bios yet and these questions involve things like size and such. Hope this alleviates any concerns regarding character sizes and such if I buy a commission with a character that doesn't have a size or something else similar to such on their bio yet. I am very detail-oriented, and will convey everything needed if those details are not shown on the character's image that I provide.

I try and make up the character bios first and foremost, but that's personal opinion lol

OP
Usually bios come first for me, but in certain circumstances the design comes first, and then the bios emerge after I can see the character in front of me. It's a back and forth. Sometimes I need to have the character in front of me to be able to fully flesh them out, while other times they're fleshed out and ready to go before their design is even drawn. My characters organically shift with how they work, and I've sometimes changed a few things around based on their experiences when I maybe use them in RP's to solidify them. It's a natural process, and also a complex one, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Eh I mean, when I say the bios come second I usually mean they come out before I upload them lol

I was aware to some extent that that was your meaning. Part of my mindset with commissioned art is to re-upload it in which to give the artists in question more exposure so that others may see their incredible work, but I have a tendency to do so in most often cases without writing out the bios in the initial postings. If the art in question is my psuedo-ref picture for a character, it may be that I do not possess a bio for the character in question yet, and it ends up being a character that I need to see in front of me in which to develop their bio. There are cases where I have the bio before I even commission a character, yet there are times where they are there in concept alone during the commission process, and the bio comes organically after I've seen the finished product, and can flesh them out.

Like I said, whatever works for you, I just know that I personally do have a backlog of characters that I have not uploaded yet due to being unsure how I want to use them/what bios I want for them >.<"

I'm exactly the same way. The list of characters that I have up on FA so far only really scratches the surface on the amount of characters I possess. Most of the ones I have uploaded are just the ones that I have picture references for. Several I haven't uploaded don't have picture refs or have text refs and such, but I don't know what to do with them.

I know that feeling lol. But for e it's just going "Wtf do I do with you..."
