life update: how to tell your nonfurry gf about the fandom

TL;DR: told nonfurry ladyfriend about the furries, she is shockingly into it and plans on tagging along to see the real deal at anthrocon this summer.
Two nights ago me, Pixel, her man, his roomie, and my ladyfriend went to a bar and gossiped and laughed and watched a comedy show and then meandered home (by meander I mean willyum found a golf club in a dumpster and hit numerous bottles on the way home and pixel and I diverged from the group to dumpster dive and make fun of dramatically intoxicated ladies until we found everyone again).
So we come back to our new apartment and we have another glass of wine and harass pixel until she proceeds to kick us out of her room. ladyfriend and I go into my room and.......pull out all my artwork of korrasami. that we concerningly oogle at until 2am. dtransition leads to me realizing I have to get up at 6am for my new bakery job, so we toss the wine and art and get ready for bed.
we gossip about past loves, family, sad things, happy things, and my dear friends that I visit in pittsburgh every summer. when she questions further on this pseudo vacation, I laugh and say "I'll tell you eventually. It's a lot to handle. If anything, you can ask my roomie about it over breakfast while I'm at work." this ends in her intensely interrogating me until finally, I give in. so, we sit up in bed and I laugh awkwardly and show her a picture of my friends in their fursuits. she is pretty quiet for a second, then matches my awkward laughter and says, "oh, furries?! wow. um. oh my god. this is....amazing, brilliant, yes! i can't believe this, but it almost makes sense. i've never actually looked into this more- do they really have sex in suits? and make animal noises? and and-"
the pile of questions basically went on for an hour, and after answering every strange thing she could think of, she was overwhelmingly on board with this strange new discovery. at 3:30am, we finally agree to go to bed until she sighs, "so, what animal would I be?" I then realize that I actually already HAD made her an animal - THAT LION LADY. I panic and laugh more, then show her the reff sheet and art I made of her character. she actually...tears up. "I'm just so...overwhelmed! Ahhh! IM NOT CRYING. This just means you think of me a lot and actually want to involve me in this extra part of your life? Oh my god."
after more talking and laughing and concerned questioning, we finally go to bed. the next morning pixel pokes her head in and I tell her that I told her all about the furries, which ends in her joining us in bed and continuing all our stories about our past furry shenanigans at anthrocon. it was...an interesting evening. i'm still a little overwhelmed how okay she is with all of this. no, scratch that, how INTO this she is. hahaha. oh my gosh. she may be a keeper after all.

My squeeze & I have talked about teh furries & whatnot & jokes about mpreg inflation Sonic art. And for the most part, she knows about the "weirder side" of it. I just haven't shown her the art of us or mentioned myself in this.
She said that she'd make a suit just to say she would & is open-minded about the fandom, though. :D
