Well I'm at a friend's house in
St. Augustine Fla, It's nice here,
but I don't think I could live here.
The summers are very hot and
humid and there are the hurricanes.
They're about a mile from the beach
and perhaps 9 feet above sea level.

My friend told me they have to evacuate
at least once every hurricane season,
hang out in the gymnasium of a local
school and pray that there is something
to come back to after it's over. They
can't get homeowners insurance here.
The insurance companies just won't
write a policy, or if they do, the rates
would be prohibitively high.

That being said, it still is very pleasant
here. I've been sitting out on the
screened porch, watching the little
lizards running around, sunning them-
selves and making new lizards.
