Characters Explained: Cojack & Lilly

Sorry for the delay on this, I got lost in the end of the semester and this just kept getting pushed back. anyway Cojack & Lilly are next (exe. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15996273/ Its the one piece where they both show up, however here is a Cojack ref in case you care http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7005435/ )
Lets start with Cojack as he was the only other character to ever be called my "fursona", In fact, though he might not have been my first fursona he was the first to be called a fursona. Cojack was created very very soon after i actually learned what Furry was exactly. Like many people who werent in it fully I didnt understand it as anything more than what the media had to say about it at the time and thats never good. I was 16 at the time and just starting to get comfortable calling myself furry. I wanted a fursona at that point because... i dont know, i didn't think I had one. I was a husky for 5 years before that and yet it never clicked. I had a friend who was a fox and I wanted to join him i guess. I was getting very into the idea of foxes and there cultural significants, especially as I was studying Japanese at the time.
My brother at the time was also just getting into the idea of furry and it was nice to have someone join me in this journey. Together we came up with a comic miniseries "Co-Horts" It was not very good but we enjoyed it. It involved 2 main characters Cojack and you guessed it... Alex. what you thought Lilly. nope Lilly didn't have anything to do with it at first. Alex was my brothers character before he swapped. He was a raccoon. Thats pretty much where he came from. the name was americanized verson of Kogyoku.
When it came to design ill admit, i didn't design him. I commissioned a piece and gave pretty much full reign. She could do whatever she wanted with the look and she did. I only specified 3 things, the ear, the necklace and the color. Overall i like what she did with him. only 2 things have really changed design wise over the years. I put a pattern on his back that wasn't there, and he like he started out is feral.
He stayed as my fursona for about a year until that husky came back. I just realized it didn't fit and when I started to flesh out Maxi's story, even before the whole live story i did on this channel, It came to me that I was a husky for 5, 6 years before and im pretty sure im gonna be a husky for the rest of my life. I know, husky, what an original species but I tried to change it and it didn't work, Im a husky at heart.
As for Lilly... I hate to say but she is by far the least fleshed out character on this list. I really dont have much info to give on her. In the comic she was something for Cojack to fail with. she was created as a distraction for a story arch that didn't really go anywhere. I planned to give her a larger role but we soon stopped the comic all together and she stayed mostly just that. Sorry if that seems a bit sexist, i was 16 and didn't know how to write females. I wish I had more to say about her.
