In all fairness, it seems the interface is slowly getting better too. Conversations in private messages no longer chain RE:s to infinity, and I think there have been other improvements as well. Fairly minor stuff, but welcome changes nevertheless.

I think the really monumental stuff will come at the end of the year, or possibly the beginning of this one. They may not be changes people want, but they're coming anyway.

I notice the PM's are better. I think that as long as we put up with it a little, things will improve.

But I hear ONE GODDAMN SOUND AD and Adblock goes right the fuck up.

I'm normally one to make a passionate defense for ads in the context of their ability for web sites to actually earn some level of income so we can all continue to enjoy them for free, but then there are sound ads, which are indefensible.

And then there are sound ads you can't mute (and which don't come on until you've been on the page for a minute or two), which is just an invitation for firebombing.

I use adblock, so it looks exactly the same to me
