So on the weekend of Mother's Day, I decided to drive down and spend the weekend with my mate. It was a pretty fun weekend, but as I was leaving, my GPS took me down a road I was REALLY unfamiliar with and I may have ran a four way stop sign. Totally genius, right? But I don't do shit like that all the time, I'm generally the only one who IS following the law. I haven't gotten a ticket in EIGHT FUCKING YEARS. So naturally, I get pulled.

The officer was a bit of a dick to me. He pretty much called me stupid, said I could challenge it in court but it wouldn't really accomplish much. Then he says "Don't worry, I don't know how much you'll owe, but you have until June 11th to get it paid." Now, I don't know about you guys, but this is an unneeded expense that I want to just get over with and be done with it. So I go to the website on the back of the ticket, enter the ticket number... "Ticket not found"

Ok, maybe it will take a few days. Not a problem. So I check every single day and finally, five days later, I call the courthouse and they tell me to call the police station. Well, these dudes have the SAME ANSWERING MACHINE THAT I DO and it takes them two days to get back to me. "Don't worry," the exact same officer says, "we forgot to put it in and I'll have the night shift put it in tonight." Ok, so I've paid off the ticket now, right?

IT'S STILL NOT IN THE SYSTEM. It's almost the END OF MAY and they haven't even put the ticket in. At this point, it's nothing but a massive shit ton of unneeded stress! I'm kind of wondering if I have grounds for a freaking legal case against these people. It's a two hour drive both ways, you think I want to blow all that gas to go to a courthouse and even then, they may not have put the fucking ticket in. I don't want to get arrested for ONE TINY MISTAKE because these guys can't do their job! What the hell???
