██████████████████████████████████████████ I realized that with my 3D art I hit a big wall, which leaves me without a room for further growth as an artist or a person. What I'm doing now, turning awesome 3d models into boring 2d renders, doesn't satisfy me any more... And my hunger grows...
I'm currently working on something in Unreal Engine 4. Something that will allow ANYONE to create quality art the same way I do it, by posing models which will be available for free to play with and to make all kinds of normal/sexy/porny poses, comics, stories.... However....
However, I can't do this alone... at least not in any reasonable time period. It takes all my effort and even that it's not enough. I need someone to collaborate with to make this project go live, someone who might happen to know a bit of game programming or Unreal Engine 4 blueprints system, someone who shares the passion for 3D art, videogames, and scaly/furry creatures.
If there are people among my readers and watchers who are also digging Unreal Engine 4's potential to create something awesome and sexy - I invite you to join forces, join the epic journey of discovery and learning. Making games is not as hard as it's used to be, all the heavy lifting is already done. And If you're not into gamedev, but you like the idea - you could always help by spreading a word about it.
Features like character/fursona customization, multiplayer, VR, or modding support are not so far behind the mountains after the initial part is done. With your support, it has a chance of expanding into something more serious, a full sandbox game where dreams can become reality...
Also, imagine commissioning someone (me, for example), and after work is done - you can play with your character... and the character could play with you too...

I think best practices is to make half of it in C++, then make these classes extendable to blueprints, so an artist/level designer can easily pick them up and configure to the specific needs. And also that modular component workflow they introduced - so much potential in that :}
I was working with another fur to make a 3D game using LibGDX last year. Unfortunately, he failed to produce anything so now I've taken that project in a different direction. I'm going to be very skeptical of this as a result. Sorry in advance. Give me a poke on Twitter, Skype, or Steam later!
UE4 has a very similar concept to UE3 (pawns, playercontrollers, gamemodes, etc are still there), so it should be really straightforward to pick up for you :}
What am I up to contributing? Whatever is necessary. It's my idea to create this thing after all. :} I have more than 5 years of 3d modelling experience, and believe me - what you see in my gallery on FA is not my skill limit (I haven't spent time making a portfolio, but I'm not looking for a job in the industry either). And after trying this and that in UE4's blueprints I'm sure that this character posing module is totally possible.
I don't treat this project like a full featured indie game to put it on market as a "product". I definitely have some product ideas, which could fit into steam or app stores, but I don't feel like I can do it, not now, not without experience...
The thing I'm talking about here is more an art project, at least for now. If it has a chance to grow into a game - I'll definitely take it. If not, well, let it stay as just a fun, furry/scalie way of posing models ^^. Think of GMod, it didn't start as that huge framework for mods and custom games.
So far all the models I've been doing are static meshes rendered in UE4... Posing dragons in another program them importing them into UE4 just as static meshes... I'm tired of that xD
I want my models to move, to breathe... and do naughty things... in realtime :}
I really approve the idea of building the virtual-reality pleasure center, and I'd definitely like to know how your project is going...... However it seems odd to me that.. fetishes are not sexual... I mean, I'm not judging, I'm Ok with that as well, but seeing creatures without at least a butthole gives me a scare - how do they poop at least?! xD
I'm not hyped about new source engine, knowing Valve - it might be still only for hardcore programmers. It is not the engine that is needed to be build for VR (aside from good and realistic rendering), it is the design choices one has to take to make it appealing and comfortable experience. I do love their VR headset and the controllers, which, I might be getting as well...

I always strive to create another worlds, not like this one, but while completely alien, still realistic and making sense from biological view... Indeed, like a realistic simulation ^^ I keep this true in all my art, my biggest fetish is realism... I always want to see and interact with real Dragons ^^
I completely understand how you want to escape biological limitations using digital world, and that is a really awesome the way you explain it! ^^
I'm also more visual person, that's why I found Unreal so useful and helpful to me :} Not Cryengine, not Unity.. and I doubt that Source2 will fit into that, but I'll give a look into it for sure :}
I'm still very interested in what you create :} Exploring VR possibilities is really cool :}

I like playing around with mods in games, and do a bit of light modding myself; though most of my advanced skills lie in flash and programming.
I know that UE4 does support VR headsets like the Oculus Rift. I have an Oculus Rift DK2 and I was very curious about it. Some VR experience are very entertaining. It's really some new kind of way to enjoy 3D. ^'===='^
