Getting Extremely Frustrating (RL Issue) Pt2

So yesterday, I sent Lucca down to the police station and apparently that finally got results. That's right, three weeks of waiting, talking to the officer on the phone, and finally I had to send my Battle Roo after him. Go figure.
The fine? $50.
The total amount I had to pay? $244
Our justice system is so fucking messed up it's not even funny.
I'm not sure if this is going to jack up my insurance or not. Some tickets cause you to have to pay more for three fucking years. The course is $50 and, if this isn't going to affect my insurance, would be a total waste of money. If it would, it could be $50 well spent. *Sigh*

More and more often these types of violations are used not to improve traffic safety through deterrance but to add to the council finance, a saddening but logical progression.
It makes me think of a fine I have received myself, driving 26mph in a 20mph zone. $75. When I looked online for the traffic fine system there was the entry for the transgression, however the fine was given as 0 causing the necessary confusion. I am now ignoring it, considering it paid even though I did not pay a penny since this is what was given. If it haunts me later on, that's my bad luck. Perhaps it is because I am not a US citizen while the transgression took place in the US that they are unable or unwilling to pursue further, time will tell.
