...should they have black eyes during it?
I was thinking this would make it more clear when they are in this state, but would it be too much? hmm...
Only thing different from the were form black eyes is there's won't have a yellow pupil. It will just be black. The sclera will be black like were forms, though.
I think it most likely will be a thing, but I like to get your thoughts as well.

Though maybe there pupils should just widen so much where you can just barely see there normal eye color? like a ring of the normal color around the widened pupil?
I already have the pupils getting extra larger during mating season anyways. xD The instinctive state would be a little different from that.
