Minor Thoughts and Auction Spam

--Finally, the SinFactoryComix.com (NSFW!) site login works again. PD was able to get it fixed, after much fussing at the host. Joy!
--The bare bones of the new Radio Comix site are up now; forum to come soon. Then comics! Lots of free comics! Ad boxes will be added last, most likely- there's not enough content there now to get them set up yet. Ignore the giant grey bars where ad boxes will go, please and thank you.
--The Radio Comix Online Store just got updated a few days ago with new goodies and old goodies alike.
--EDIT TO ADD: The Radio Comix Forums are BACK! Yay! Go register!
--This week at the comic store: thirteen items we advance ordered through Diamond came back cancelled with code 28. That's the new code for "didn't sell enough, we're not making a purchase order for it, can't get it from us". A few of the items were anime DVD box sets we ordered for the rental system, a couple were special orders for customers, some were just things my manager thought would be neat to carry. We're going to have to find alternate methods of distribution for many of these items, which seems counterproductive to Diamond Doing More Business. Sure, they'll save money not having to stock these items, but they're basically saying "go somewhere else and give them your wholesale dollars!", which just seems really ill-conceived in this economy.
The store I work at has no problem with going through alternate distribution channels, because it is a Good Store. I feel only sadness for retailers who won't take the extra time and trouble to do this, because they will eventually go out of business. Because if we can't get something in? Oh yes, customers can and will go online and buy things there. Driving customers out of brick & mortar stores and onto online stores? Not the wisest move.
--I am in the midst of preparing for doing our taxes. This means we have to pay the accountant, and he isn't cheap. (And yay, we have to pay him the same time rent AND storage rent are due! How fun!) Hence, more auction spam to immediately follow.

I'm curious to see what percentage of items I pre-order have been code 28'ed. If the number is large enough, I may give up on comics shops completely. I know that Gemstone has already decided to pack it in, so that's a big deal right there.
