HAGGIS!
Yup, I said it. The dreaded H word that sends so-called culinary experts screaming for their mommies. And I want it! I have been jonesing for some haggis, which might seem odd since I've never been to Scottland. Fact of the matter is, my family came from Scottland and I've always been partial to the history. I've only had haggis twice, but it was something that tasted wonderful. I've never had anything quite like it since, unfortunatly. Thing is, I've been looking for an easy haggis recipe that I could fix with what I can easily get here in the US, and so far, I havent realy found anything. So Im hopeing someone out there would have a recipe that I could maybe use. I'd be useing plastic boiling bags rather than stomachs, and probably ground beef rather than lamb and liver. Im also wondering how well it would work out useing rice rather than oats. The big problem Im haveing is finding some suet. Seems it's one of those things that no one realy carries around here. So, anyone got any ideas?
