Furry the movie and why one shouldn't worry about it at all~
10 years ago
It's been spreading on facebook like wildfire and I'm sure it'll end up here. There's a Movie trailer by a supposed indie production company called furries the movie. I'll save you the details and just link it.
https://vimeo.com/114533913
Now people are taking this at face value. However, when you look into the actual video, it''s nothing to be scared of, no matter how offensive one would find this to be.
Take a look at the channel. You will notice that not only does the channel have 5 subscribers, but that trailer is the ONLY video on that page. You can search EyeMagine Productions on Google and you will see no other trace of the company other than a logo video on youtube, which that hosting channel only has 4 subscribers.
The video linked above has been online for 5 months and only achieved one like. That's not quite a serious audience. Even then, not every trailer on Vimeo will have a release. Another red flag is the production values. It looks like a MadTV sketch. B-movie production values at best.
For all we know, this is just a video made to fuck with us :P that or it merely serves the purpose to be nothing more than a satirical movie trailer.
But lets say it is real. Does one silly indie film off of Vimeo really pose a threat to our community?
It's only some low grade indie group on the internet with a film that may come and go like a college film project would. Even then, with the overwhelming good press we've had lately, I'm sure people aren't going to be completely fooled.

But some people will sadly
I don't see how anyone would be offended by this...unless you're the creator.
It just looks plain awful...
If everyone would just "come out" and stop running around whinging "I can't tell my parents/family/friends I'm furry - they'd disown me" blah blah blah and just live life like the normal people we are, we wouldn't have to deal with this crap.
