Anyway.. you're like the 4th MAJOR dealer I've heard this from for FC... I said it last year, FC jumped the shark a few years ago IMHO. There was the shit with the 'popular vote' in the dance competition where a certain very popular dancer was totally omitted, there was the lack of water stations entirely (Which they DID correct later), the faulty air conditioning, the really awful volleyball girls, the just plain rude staff (Like seriously, I have gotten dressed down for being half that rude with people when twice as justified)...

This is the second con I've heard of going to a secret judging panel for dealer space. and screwing over a lot of dealers that folks WANT in to buy from, it's always in super liberal cities too, Seattle and San Jose... Shit we couldn't get a table at Rainfurrest (we eventually got them to agree to let us share one with the GoH), even though the GoH is our lead artist, and specifically ASKED for us to have a table next to his so he could sign autographs for people!

meh... You sell pretty awesome stuff, I was planning to buy more decals for the fleet vehicles but um... drank too much at Comicon... I'll have to come by your booth at AC....

Aww, I'm sorry, pony. My 3d printing stuff got denied too so I'm unsure what exactly their criteria was, but it seemed like a lot of vendors with really different selection of items to sell got denied.

I don't think it reflects at all on the amazing diversity or quality of your product. Their loss for not accepting you for a dealer table!

Your products must be so good that people spend all of their money at your booth! They then don't have any money remaining for the other dealers, causing them to complain about you!

Who cares. I wasn't impressed with Further Confusion at all as a con. Shame you got denied but they're just loosing more business by giving you that fat NO.

i care, this is my main source of income, so when a major con says no, it jeopardizes my ability to do things like buy food and pay rent, especially since fc is the first one after the lack of cons between September and January in the west [and yes i know there is MFF as well, got denied there too]

Sorry to hear that. Personally I've always enjoyed FC all the times I've been there, but I don't think it was quite as personal a decision as it seems. It's a shame you got turned away though, but there are other cons, and I do hope that there's plenty of room for everyone.

That seems pretty ignorant, but it least it sounds like it's not just you. Are these cons really that tight for dealer space? Like, maybe they should request more space rather than turning away applicants...??
