Post-#furmore15 wrapup.
This year was infinitely less stressful than previous. Easily the lowest-stress video game room I've ever dealt with, in equal parts due to other staff/volunteers and the attendees being patient and eager to enjoy themselves.
If anyone has any feedback on either side of gaming, or the con in general, PLEASE TELL US. Post it below if it's something I can respond to personally, and I'll do so.
GONNA DOLE OUT SOME THANKS. If I forget you, apologies, and I'll update the list.
- Kit/Irime: Thank you again for continuing to do this, giving me an outlet to see a bunch of happy weirdos play all the games I don't have the time or motivation to play.
- Other non-gaming staff: I barely saw you at the con, which is fine considering you were doing all the non-gaming work, which is a strange alien world to me outside of the game rooms. I hope it went well for all of you, thank you for juggling the monotony, stressful moments, and occasional partying/stress relief.
- Fellow VG staff (Rally, Wag, Shady): Thank you for helping with setting up the room, helping the attendees, setting up games/consoles, bringing whatever you brought with you, running tournaments, and running the room when I'd get distracted and wander off to play Rock Band. You're a big part of why I continue to want to do this.
- Tabletop staff (BGS/Crux): Thank you for running a wonderful and inviting tabletop room despite having half as many TT staff as we were hoping for. Any time I walked in, everyone was well-behaved, multiple games were going on, and everyone was having fun. And it even looked like you guys were enjoying it too. We'll definitely have more TT staff next year so you can go off and do what you want sometimes.
- Volunteers (Rachael, Loki, Valeyard and others): Thank you so much, you guys jumped in and helped when we were stretched a little thin, did the table work, kept an eye on things, and made it all much less stressful and more fun for the rest of us.
- Turtyl/Kiric: Thank you for running Smash and bringing the boxes of supplies from Anthrocon, glad Turtyl got some time to play Taiko and Skykid.
- Artslave: Thank you for being similarly fucked up and willing to rant about all the confusing bullshit we have to deal with in our respective niches.
- Rexxie/Strawbunny: Thank you for helping with the Marylandfurs meet, a ton of people showed up, we got them all talking/socializing, and we kept it fun while I shoved a burrito into my face.
- Hospitality suite: Thank you for having delicious food that people could deliver to me, because feeding off of Rock Band and the warm glow of people playing video games isn't always the most nutritious option.
- Icepaws: For vigorously blowing me in times of need, it was well worth the $20
- Isatis: Thank you for running Project M and offering the wifi hotspot, I hope the weekend went well for you.
- Colin, Ruby, Jollimus: Thank you for coming out to your first furry convention, I'm glad I could tempt you to do so, possibly by going "I'm running Rock Band all weekend, and there won't be 45-minute waits between songs".
- Whoever set up the Twitter feed: Thank you for giving me an outlet for being antsy/bored during a long-sit down that doesn't involve yelling and directly interrupting.
- Everyone who brought games/consoles (Travis, Veronica, Wag, Rally, Amaretto, Strawbunny, Turtyl & Kiric): Thank you for trusting us to take care of everything, at least a bit of what everyone brought got used, and we appreciate that you're willing to bring expensive/difficult to find things (two copies of Earthbound!) so that other people can try them out.
- Everyone in the game rooms: Thank you for enjoying yourselves! There were some issues that we can easily fix for next year (not having paper sign-ups for tournaments, the room being too warm, IIDX being next to Rock Band), we definitely want more of your feedback. What did you like? What did you dislike? What games would you want to see? We'll do what we can to have even more to play next year.

That's how some prefer to play it.
Also thanks Milt for the thanks <3
Consider her phone spammed.
Lots.
Still haven't heard from her, if you want to PM me her number or email I can take over bothering duties from you.
Uhmmm... lemme check something before I start handing out phone numbers. .
I lol'ed. :)
I think you forgot to mention me for bringing a bunch of games, including Earthbound.
