its alright to vent things like that, personally I've been busy a lot as well and can't even socialize as much as i'd like half the time.

Doesn't mean you can't stay furry though :3 just means you have other things to tend to as well and that isn't a bad thing! *hugs a scalie*

i spend most of my time playing games, I've never been to a con, i've never suited, tbh the only really furry thing that i do is draw character heads, i haven't got art in about a year. my furry lifestyle has kind of faded to.
I'll give you this no human(or dragon) alive has any idea what the future will hold, we can guess but we simply cant see the future. i think that as long as you keep the friends that you have made here, as long as the friendships are beneficial to you and them.

if you get into the bare bones of it, the fandom isn't a fandom, it is a groupe of friends that interconect though different friends. i think we should call it the furry friendship, as that would have more truth to it. :

Myself I've been around for years and actually been just fine by never going to conventions or anything like that... Except 2 anime-related conventions but only cause those were local XP (lazy) But I'm finely still around cause I like to keep on drawing things and wanting to try to put more things on show of the world I'm trying to create around my characters.

Moods come and go, I myself and fairly distant from the fandom as a whole, but I drift back in towards it every now and then.

Yeah, I think that feeling is going around generally. I see it more and more where people are working or busy all the time. I think part of it is economic, in 2008 many lost their jobs so they could spend more time on fandom things since there was no job to take up the time. Now with the economy improving (at least in the US), many are working and have less time for the fandom. This leaves those still doing it feeling more distant since their friends are not as active any more.

I think everyone goes through this from time to time. Maybe have a break from it all and then see how you feel?

Maybe a break is all you need. Take some time away, come back after a bit.

I've never been to a furry convention and have only "suited" on a rare occasion.
I still wouldn't say I'm not part of the fandom.
All my friends are furries and I spend a good amount of time looking at furry art or talking to other furries, etc.

Work, life and situations have kept me from being as active in the fandom as I once was; sure I do not have a suit or really been able to go to meets at least try for cons if able. We each enter and come to an understanding within this fandom free to come and go as we please, I fee l the same for you as well will also be, and come back here when ready.
