So, i found out today my car is totaled...only worth about 2k :\
so i won't be getting a good amount for a down payment on anything good.
I managed to squeak by with a less than terrible loan opportunity, but the car i want is just barely out of reach.
I am not a good negotiator when it comes to cars, and all my friends who drive sexy cars are convincing me (Despite this car being high rated and sensible)
that i need some rust bucket and are just busting any hope i have with major negative attitudes whenever i find something cool.
but they have points...
cars, new or used...have ridiculous markup and aftercosts.
So i have to find a balance :\...and hope i can hold my own against their BS head games.
Wish me luck...with my car finally declared rekt, it's only a matter of time till insurance makes me give back the rental. then it's bye bye ride to work.

There are also decent cars that go for less than 2 grand. Subarus are top dogs at durability, and a 1990s outback or something will be very affordable and very reliable. Just stick to a 3000 mi maintenance schedule.
