So, pony's slowly finishing up his doctorate. Thing is, I'm slightly concerned about next year. Not so much the written portion of the PhD or the work but the money. Admittedly, it goes with the territory that PhD candidates run low on funds but there's a lot for me to have to do next year that costs cash.

I'm not going to ask for donations. I made it this far in life without asking anyone for help. I don't want to start now. I've never even had to borrow money from my mom and dad, which is something I'm proud of.

Anyway, I'm working two jobs but one of them is seasonal. I've been everywhere that feasible to work in my area and the schedules are either too conflicting or there's just no way they can hire me. That means I'm either eating a lot of rice or I'm going to have to find money elsewhere.

What do you guys think about me trying to sell a book at pay what you want rates, one chapter at a time? It wouldn't be Oscil-related, but it would be erotica. Honestly, I want to keep Oscil free. It wouldn't feel right to try and charge for Oscil-content (Pony-content or Snortent). I'm thinking about doing something along the lines of The Red Shoe Diaries, something where every chapter is only loosely linked but instead of new characters I want to focus on two main characters.

I think the main problem is that I can't do art for it and there's no real way to bring an artist on for the project because I can't afford one and I think my audience response is pretty chaotic/sparse at present. Which is my own fault, because I had to put everything on the back burner to chase down a new career.
