What do you think, is "Twisted Pairs" the right name for a story about a bunch of anarchy hackers lost in a maze of a wireless community network?

I like it. Would the name be a sort of allusion to the interdependence of two (or more) characters to protect themselves from an external threat?

Oh yes! It has so many meanings. The community always sends teams of two to fix the base stations, so in the camp they encourage "bonding" of crews, like Spartan warriors fought better than others because they were assigned in gay pairs. You'd rather spend nights studying manpages and pdf manuals than having your partner lose precious minutes reconfiguring a network node under fire.

Also, the book cover illustration could include eight furs sitting on a ledge or a bench, with their tails wrapped around each other, in a TIA568b arrangement. ^^

When I gather enough monies I'd commission some artist for a multi-page comic. So far that world is only in textual form. ;)

Yeah, comics are hella expensive. In terms of artist, I'd recommend contracting someone with a minimalist style. Ideally, that would help cut down on expenses, and raise the likelihood of completion. Relability is probably the primary factor in that situation.
